Rohit Negi is an Associate Professor of Urban Studies and Director of the Centre for Community Knowledge at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi. An urban planner and geographer by training, Rohit has researched urban environmental change in the Himalaya and the Delhi region. His work has been published in journals including "Contemporary South Asia, Comparative Studies of South Asia, Africa and the Middle East, Geoforum, and Urbanisation". At CCK, Rohit leads work on the ‘People’s Geography of Delhi,’ which documents and disseminates local histories of the city’s diverse neighbourhoods, from urban villages and industrial areas to rural hinterlands and commercial zones.
